Chemco International is a world leader in innovative coating solutions in the Marine Coatings industry with over 30 years experience in the design and manufacture of unique, state of the art technology.
In recent years, the high cost of grit blasting and grit disposal, as well as strict environmental control necessary for the application of conventional paint systems, has forced the industry to look at alternative surface preparation methods and consequently, for products which can be applied on damp/wet substrates.
Utilising truly wet & rust tolerant coating technology, Chemco’s Marine Coatings will enormously reduce the cost and duration of all contracts. Many forward thinking companies throughout the world have been utilising these technological breakthrough systems for more than 10 years with complete success.
It is through the most advanced coating systems that we can now not only comply with all legal legislations and help the environment, but reduce the cost of maintenance as well as life cycle cost.
Chemco uniquely guarantee lower cost and coating performance for any application: patch repair, complete refurbishment or New Build.
IMO PSPC Lloyds Approval (Sea Water Ballast Tanks) for New Build and Maintenance & Repair
Chemco International's solvent-free, wet & rust tolerant system Epo-chem™ RS 500P and RA 500M has passed and exceeded all laboratory testing for IMO MSC.215 (82) Performance Standard for Protective Coatings for seawater ballast tanks. The certification for the New Build Standard was over grit blasted steel to SA 2.5, with and without shop primer. The products enhanced protection was further proven by testing the systems beyond the required standard, i.e. over wet & rusty steel. This is the world’s first; to test a wet & rust tolerant coating to IMO standard and pass the test with the same result! Copies of the 3 tests reports are available on request.
Epo-chem™ RS 500P and RA 500M systems have also passed the test of time; their superior performance has achieved Maintenance & Repair by gaining Lloyds Class 1 approval from in-service performance data.
